Your annual summer dilemma:
Most kids don't want to hear about summer school — "It's boring", "It's stupid", "I don't need to go". But for many children who struggle with learning or social/emotional issues, two and a half months without structure and stimulation can halt progress and open the door for regression.
Your summer solution:
Mardan offers a full–day summer school session that provides structure, learning and social supports, wrapped into a program that kids find enriching and even fun! Here's why summer session is beneficial for both current and prospective students in all grade levels:
- Provides continued structure and skill building along with social skills training.
- For new students, an opportunity to experience the Mardan approach or ease into their new school placement.
- For some, a recurring summer opportunity that supplements placement elsewhere.
- High school students have an opportunity to earn up to 10 additional credits in a supportive learning environment.
Continued practice in basic skills, along with hands-on projects, cooking sessions, art classes, physical education classes, and picnic lunches all contribute to an integrated, invigorating learning experience. Mardan students find themselves having more fun than they expected, and enjoying continued social and school-based interactions in a supportive environment.
Tuition for new students:
A special "scholarshipped" placement cost of $1,500 for the full summer session. Enrollment is determined through Mardan's typical admissions process to ensure the program will serve your child's individual needs.
